Neighborhood Watch & National Night Out

NNO4National Night Out is an annual event that brings communities together for crime prevention. It has been held in communities around the United States since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).

New Bern's National Night Out Committee, in partnership with New Bern Police, organizes this local event with the assistance of countless volunteer hours.  We celebrate the "community" and bring thousands together to have fun.  Dozens of community service organizations participate with us each year to take a stand in fighting crime within our community.

We greatly appreciate the generosity of all individuals and organizations who help make this event possible.  It is a night for celebrating safety and crime prevention successes and building stronger relationships between our citizens and our police department.  Visit the National Association of Town Watch website for more on National Night Out.

Neighborhood Watch Groups

Click here for a list of our Neighborhood Watch Groups. Don't see one for your neighborhood and want to start one? We'd like to help! If your neighborhood is not on the list, that means there is no established Neighborhood Watch Group or the one in your area has become inactive. To inquire about starting a watch group in your neighborhood, contact Officer K. Longmire at (252)672-4302.
