The Planning and Research Unit is responsible for managing the collection, evaluation, analysis, collation, dissemination and destruction of criminal intelligence information. This information includes civil disorders, subversive activities, extremist groups, hate groups, gang activity, repeat offenders, acts of terrorism and organized crime.
