Important Billing Information
If you need password help, scroll to the bottom of this page. Below you'll find various payment options and the cost for using these payment methods. If your service has been interrupted or is in jeopardy of being interrupted, call us at (252)639-2750 with your payment confirmation number to reinstate service. After normal business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) call Utility Control at (252)636-4070 with the payment confirmation number.
Past due amounts must be paid immediately. Since services are billed after they are provided, payment is due on or before the due date. Bill is subject to a 5% late penalty for payments received after the due date. A $30 delinquent account processing fee will be charged for bills unpaid after the tenth day following the due date. Disconnection of services occurs for bills unpaid after the tenth day following the due date as well. Reconnection fees apply. All fees & penalties are subject to change without notification. More information regarding late payments, delinquency, and utility deposits can be found by reading "Utility Deposits: What Residents Need to Know." Please note: billing days of service may vary due to inclement weather, weekends, holidays, etc.

Water usage is billed in units of 1000 gallons. Electric usage is measured in units of one kilowatt hour (kW/h), which is the amount of energy needed to light a 100 watt bulb for 10 hours.
Please note all payments entered under jurisdiction code 3964 are paying for City of New Bern utilities. If you want to pay your City tax bill, you must hang up and place the call again using jurisdiction code 4304. If you want to pay your county taxes, you must hang up and place the call again using the county's jurisdiction code, which can be obtained by calling (252)636-6605.
*Credit card, debit card and electronic check payments are processed through SEDC and/or Official Payments Corp. and include a convenience fee on your credit card or bank statement.
A generic password will be provided on your monthly statement which allows you to set up a secure password and customer profile. The password will be located in the upper left hand corner of your statement. A password cannot be obtained by contacting customer support. |
