In January 2021, the Board of Aldermen took additional action after receiving numerous complaints from residents about access to internet, quality of service, and billing issues with Suddenlink Communications/Altice. The Board sent a letter to the NC Attorney General with a copy to the NC delegates that represent New Bern regarding the issues citizens are experiencing. The Board also decided to create an email address for residents so that they could express their concerns and complaints: email@example.com. The emails received are catalogued and sent to the NC Department of Justice and the state attorney general's office. The emails are public record and regularly posted on this website for viewing: emails as of 02/22/21 at 1000 hours.
