COASTAL STORM UPDATE: the City of New Bern is monitoring this coastal nor'easter very closely. Conditions will last through the weekend and will bring about 2-3" of rain to our area and strong wind gusts that will push water up the Pamlico Sound and into the Neuse & Trent rivers. The duration of the wind will mean some flooding along the riverfront and in other low-lying areas. If you are driving and encounter a flooded road, turn around don't drown! Stay tuned to local forecasts for the latest information on changing weather conditions.
