Unless otherwise indicated, the New Bern Historic Preservation Commission meets for Design Review on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Development Services Conference room located at 303 First Street. The Commission holds regular, official meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the City Hall courtroom on the 2nd floor.
The deadline to request consideration for the Design Review meeting agenda is noon on the Monday prior to the meeting (2 days prior). Almost all cases need to go to the Design Review meeting before coming to the Regular meeting.
All materials to be considered by the New Bern Historic Preservation Commission must be submitted on 8" x 11" or 11" x 17" size paper and a PDF. This schedule is provided as a convenience for those involved in the Historic Districts project review process and will be adhered to in scheduling applications.
