The park was closed in March due to COVID-19. The park recently re-opened as part of Governor Cooper's Phase 2.5.
While the park was closed, playground renovations included: Painting the component structure, new playground mulch, a new cargo net. A replacement slide on the 2-5 structure and the 5-12 structure is coming soon. This playground does have a shade sail over the 2-5 structure.
