Development Services coordinates Tree Removal Permits for any trees on private or commercial property. Permits are required for the following areas:
A Local Historic District
Tree Removal Permit and Certificate of Appropriateness (COA)
(New Bern Historic District, and Riverside Historic District)
A National Register Historic District
Tree Removal Permit
(Degraffenreid, Ghent Neighborhood 1 and 2, and Lawson Creek)
A Commercial Development
(due to buffer requirements)
